Happy November! I’m so excited that we are just a little bit closer to the holidays. I love the holiday season. Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons and I like to wrap up in huge blanket scarves, wear leggings and tall boots, sip hot chocolate and buy a lot of stuff, haha.
November marks the start of a 30 day blogging challenge that I’m hosting.
What’s this 30 day challenge all about?
For a long, long time, I’ve wanted to do a challenge like this. What is it? 30 days of blogging EVERY.SINGLE.DAY! Yes, friend!! It’s gonna be a challenge. I mean, who blogs every day?
I’ll tell you though, before I became a blogger, I’d visit my favorite blogs several times a week, hoping and waiting for their next blog post. I hoped that they would one day blog daily or at least several times a week. Most of the blogs I followed posted new content once a week.
Wanna join the challenge? Sign up! (down below)
Here are the rules…
- Submit one new blog post everyday-This is every single day in November guys
- Posts must be a minimum of 500 words
That’s it! Pretty simple rules. 500 words is just long enough to have some meatiness to your blog post. Posting frequently can compromise the quality sometimes. WE DON’T WANT THAT! So, aim for longer than 500 words if you can. This challenge will be for November. If you wanna go longer, feel free!
Tips to Rock Out this Challenge
Here are some helpful success tips that I’ll be taking myself to keep me on track and blogging happily throughout this challenge.
TIP#1: Batch blogging: Batching involves writing a lot in a short period of time. So, tomorrow, write 4 posts, instead of just 1, so you can get ahead of the game. If you prefer to write 1 post everyday, you can do that too but batching will help on those days you have limited time for blogging or have writers rut.
TIP#2: Get organized: This is super important if you wanna succeed in this challenge. Create an editorial calendar. This doesn’t have to be a fancy calendar or printable. You can just take out a piece of paper, write down each date straight down the side and next to the date put your blogging topic of the day. Easy! Or, just take your existing calendar (like your kitchen calendar, office calendar, etc.) and write your post of the day topic on there.
TIP#3: Take notes: I use Evernote. It’s great and I can take it anywhere. I use it on my laptop, phone, and tablet. Anytime I get inspiration, in line at Starbucks, at the grocery store, taking my little one to therapy, I pull out my device and note my idea. If I don’t do this, I’m guaranteed to forget the idea later. I use Evernote for more than just article ideas. Grocery lists, recipes, gift ideas, etc. It’s perfect for anything and everything. Best part, it’s FREE!
