My 12 favorite brilliant blogging tips:
Tip#1: Tell the Truth-Jeff Goins from Goinswriter.com
I’m totally on board with this one. Honesty is the best policy and building trust from your readers is a big deal.
Tip#2: Use eye-catching photography-Jenn Leach from Drinkcoffeeandprosper.com
Embed tons of cool pictures, graphs, charts, and infographics in your post. Add memes and YouTube videos too. Some stock photo sites I like are: Dreamstime and Haute Chocolate.
Tip#3: Understand your Audience-Brian Clark from Copyblogger.com
Being a member of your own tribe helps. Do lots of research to understand your audience.
Tip#4: Commit to a publishing schedule-Brian Clark from Copyblogger.com
You’ve probably heard this one before: have an editorial calendar or schedule. It really does help to keep you on track.
Tip#5: Keep a list of blog post ideas-Brian Clark from Copyblogger.com
I do this! I use Evernote to jot down ideas I have throughout the day. I also try to write off that idea within 24 hours, while its still fresh.
Tip#6: Create an Audio Version of your Blog Post-Greg Hickman from Mobile Mixed
Greg shares bloggers seeing up to a 2000% increase in exposure. Definitely a tip to try out.
Tip#7: Make your Blog Title Eye-Catching-Rachel Sprung from Hubspot
An important one! Your blog title is what captures the reader. Make sure it’s eye-catching.
Tip#8: Make content easy to share-Jeff Goins from Goinswriter.com
If you don’t have social media icons already in place on your blog, make sure you get them ASAP! Nothing builds traffic and gets your blog exposure better than social sharing. Some social plugins from WordPress I enjoy are SumoMe and Shareaholic.
Tip#9: Guest post-Jeff Goins from Goinswriter.com
Tip#10: Short sentences win- Jeff Goins from Goinswriter.com
You wanna write easy to digest articles. I even started implementing a trick I read online about having one sentence paragraphs. A couple big blogs do this. I would’ve never guessed this helps engage readers and help them finish reading the entire post.
Tip#11: Check out Popular Topics on Other Blogs-John Loomer from JohnLoomer.com
I do this often. Learn from the experts, right? Try this one out for sure.
Tip#12: Network-Jenn Leach from Drinkcoffeeandprosper.com
Do networking online and offline. Facebook groups are my favorite way to achieve this.
