TIP #3: FORMATTING, my friend
Formatting, means, in addition to breaking up your text with white space, you want to add underlines, bold text, different sizes, italics, etc.
Use any and all of these! It’s great for CALLING ATTENTION TO IMPORTANT STUFF IN YOUR POST. See how I did that there, lol.
TIP #4: HYPERLINKS
You want to fill your post with TONS OF USEFUL CONTENT. You get cool points from the search engines if you use hyperlinks to link back to not only your content but link external sources as well. Here’s an easy way to link back to your own content.

I saw this trick in a post I read over at Oh, She Blogs and I loved it. There might be a plugin that does this automatically. It’s just as easy to type it out in your post.
If you have a favorite blog post or article that pertains to what you’re writing about, link it! It’s just that easy. Don’t go too crazy with links, including affiliate links, or your post will look too spammy.
TIP #5: HIT SOCIAL MEDIA
As soon as you post, you want to share your work on social media. Here are my favorite social networks I use:
Post to each of your favorite networks and watch your traction start to take hold.
TIP #6: NETWORKING
Network online and offline. Networking online means participating in niche forums, Facebook groups, Twitter chats, KIK, and more.
My secret sauce has been Facebook groups.
I’m a part of at least 15-20 different Facebook groups. They are all different and are about engagement, learning the ins and outs of blogging, Q&A, getting traffic, and more. I spend at least an hour every single day (yes, weekends too) participating in these groups. Check out my favorite Facebook groups for bloggers roundup post here.
